I couldn’t have been happier working for Seren. My manager was amazing, and she has a human touch approach to everyone.

Anything from 16 hours a week up to full time. Shifts are 7am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm, or both. You’d work alternate weekends, which keeps it fair across the whole team. Tell us what you can commit to and we’ll build a round around it where we can.
Between £13.45 and £14.00 per care hour depending on the area, plus 40p per mile mileage and an enhanced rate on bank holidays. The rate is published on every vacancy rather than saying “competitive”.
Yes, an enhanced DBS is a legal requirement for care work. We arrange it and cover the cost. Having something on your record doesn't automatically rule you out — it depends what it is and how long ago. Tell us early and we'll be straight with you.

Usually two to four weeks from applying, most of which is waiting on your DBS and references. We'll keep you updated rather than leaving you wondering.
No. We’re not able to offer sponsorship for any of these roles, so you’ll need existing right to work in the UK to apply.
Where a role is advertised for female applicants, it’s because the person being supported needs intimate personal care and has asked for a female carer. That’s a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Part 1, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010. It’s marked clearly on any vacancy it applies to.
Yes. Our team speaks a wide range of languages between them. You'll need enough English to follow care plans, record notes and speak with families confidently, but you don't need to be perfect.
Send us your details anyway. New rounds come up constantly across South Wales, and we'll get in touch when something suits you.
